Cihad Turkmen was born in Genk, Belgium, in 1992 and graduated in graphic design at the renowned  Sint-Lucas institute (currently LUCA institute, Brussels). During his internship at Contekst, which is a fast-growing, innovative interior design studio in Antwerp, he developed the necessary skills to

co-create new interiors with the customers.

 

Later on, he made his first steps as interior architect at Bolia, a Swedish interior design label, and at Haacht Brewery. Here, he was responsible for the design of several new interiors for bars owned by the brewery.  

 

In the meantime, he started collaborations with other young, potential architects (e.g. VLOAA architects, Antwerp).  All this has lead to an intriguing portfolio including projects of different types and scales: innovative interiors bars, restaurants, private houses and office spaces.
